The Freewrite Traveler is the latest addition to Astrohaus’ line of distraction-free writing tools. Launched on October 2nd, 2018 on Indiegogo, it surpassed its funding goal in 28 minutes.

Similar to Freewrite, The Traveler combines mindful software with carefully designed hardware specific to the needs of a modern writer including E Inkā„¢ display and a full-size tactile keyboard. To ensure lost documents are a thing of the past, the Traveler seamlessly saves every word to Dropbox, Evernote, or Google Drive, whether drafted at home or the coffee shop — wherever inspiration strikes.

New for Traveler is a small, folding design that allows the device to weigh less than 2 lbs. It is meant to be the go-anywhere version of the Freewrite. To achieve that small size, the Traveler features a scissor-switch keyboard that is inspired by the legendary Thinkpad feel and a sleek, low-profile housing.

There are also new software features including a document launcher and hotkey enabled arrow keys. The document launcher adds the ability to bookmark documents for quick reference and the arrow keys provide a way to make quick fixes. There is still no copy/paste or other advanced editing functionality to promote maximum writing productivity.

Traveler is crowdfunding on Indiegogo and is available here: https://igg.me/at/freewritetraveler/
